PULSE JET DUST COLLECTORS | CYCLONE DUST COLLECTORS Cartridge-Type Pulse Jet Dust Collectors
Tri-Mer cartridge-type pulse jet dust collectors have housings of 10 gauge carbon steel,
rated for + 17" w.g. (0.6 psig). Reinforcing is available to 28" w.g. (1.0 psig). Above this level,
a cylindrical housing is recommended.
This pulse jet collector uses vertically hung cartridges; horizontal configurations are available.
Vertical dust cartridges are suspended from a rectangular plate with a gasket which is sealed
to the tube sheet by an over-center compression eccentric actuated by a handle. When the
handle is released, the pulse jet cartridges slide out on rails.
Our pulse jet cartridges are serviced from above using a top plate larger than the tube sheet hole.
In this configuration the pulse jet cartridges are clamp-sealed.
A horizontal jet cartridge dust collection configuration is used for extreme headroom restrictions.
Traditional pulse jet cartridges are 12-3/4" diameter and 26" long, with 226 sq. ft. of treated media.
They are frequently "double long" if velocity restrictions allow.
Pleated bags are sometimes called dust cartridges when retro-fit into an existing bag-type
pulse jet collector. With eight times the cloth area per unit of length, they provide increased
air volume capacity. The allowable air velocity within the dust collector's dirty air chamber
determines the type of pleated bag.
An exhaust fan with motor, drive and guards can be mounted, top or side. If the fan is not
mounted on the pulse jet, ductwork is supplied. Sound attenuation, vibration isolation,
control dampers and starters are provided as well.
Collected dust from the pulse jet is deposited in the pyramidal hopper. The pulse jet timer
with differential pressure gauge is side-mounted. These are incorporated into the fan starter
enclosure, and can be remote from the dust collector.
The pulse jet dust collector is shipped "ready to run" when size permits. Explosion ports
may be fitted to the body of the collector. Hoppers, rotary air-locks, drum connections, legs,
ladders, and platform structures are available. Stainless steel construction and special
coatings are available.
Units are available from 26" long cartridge with 226 sq. ft. of media (552 CFM at 2:1 air to
cloth ratio) to 64 double long cartridges with 28,928 sq. ft. total (57,856 CFM at 2:1 air to
media ratio). Special media, such as spun bond hydro and oleophobic polyester,
provides less surface area per pulse jet cartridge.
Our pulse jets are suitable for particulate over 5 microns.
