Co-polymer Processing Technology for
Finishing, Anodizing, and Plating Tanks

Co-polymer insulated plating / anodizing tanks typically have a 25-year, corrosion-free service life. 
Each high-strength, low weight anodizing / plating tank is engineered for hardcoat anodizing
operations, where processing temperatures are in the 32°F range.  The tanks are also suited to
Type II (‘hot’ anodizing, 85°F and above) and other plating operations with temperature extremes
and fluctuations.

Tri-Mer co-polymer insulated anodizing / plating tanks are manufactured using 1” to 1.5” solid
material, in lengths to 110’ and depths to 15’.  Special tank processing shapes can also be
fabricated.  Copolymer tanks provide exceptional resistance to corrosion, abrasion and
cracking and have excellent electrical properties.

Tri-Mer co-polymer tanks are made using a proprietary tank fabrication method that assures
seamless structural integrity and full strength at bend sites.  Plating tanks can be supplied with
temperature controls and alarms, custom polypropylene or copolymer polypropylene hoods,
ducting, and fume scrubbers.

Tri-Mer’s co-polymer tank technology allows plating / anodizing tanks to be manufactured in
significantly larger sizes because thermal expansion is less of a factor.  As a result, where
multiple tanks would have been necessary, one anodizing / plating tank can be used,
at far less cost.  Significant floor space savings can also be realized.
